Good drum sounds will almost always have:

．Enough mids to feel punch.
．Not so many mids that the sound is muddy.
．Natural sound that possesses a warm tone.
．Dimension, often sounding larger than life.
．Believably appropriate reverberation.
．Balance and blend in the mix.
